PARENT SUPPORT WORKER

Parenting is a rewarding yet challenging job, but there are times when all parents and carers need some support and help. That is when Parent Support Workers may be able to assist you.

Dear Parents & Carers,

My name is Miss Boardman and I am the Parent Support Worker at Radcliffe Hall Primary School. My role is to support you and your child to get the very best from the school by providing support, advice and information. I can help you with any worries you may have in relation to your child’s education, behaviour at home or health, and provide support on how best to deal with it. I aim to try and provide this support in a number of ways, including:

  • Providing information and signposting to services in Bury that may help you, i.e. finances, well-being & housing.
  • Work with families to support effective and positive changes which will enable children to access education and support their well-being.
  • Provide support with positive parenting and managing your child’s behaviour and boundary setting.
  • Making referrals to outside agencies such as health professionals and early help.
  • Offering help in improving your child’s attendance.

If you feel you need some extra support with any of the above, or you have any questions please pop in to the school office or contact me on 0161 724 4928 or alternatively you can email me on radcliffehall@bury.gov.uk

Parent Support Workers may not have all of the answers but by working together we may be able to help you find them.
