Welcome back! We hope you have all had a half term. It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to school, they are all ready and excited for another action packed and exciting half term.

This half term we are going to be reading 'The Arrival' by Shain Tan. The children will be producing a diary entry and a setting description which will include the grammatical objectives for Year 5 and 6.
This half term we will be focusing on Fractions. The children will learn how to find euivalent fractions alongside adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions.
In Science this half term we will be learning about Living Things and Their Habitats. We will focus on life cycles of humans and other animals.
Our topic his half term is Poland. We will be looking at all the wonderful geographical features that can be found there.
In R.E we will be looking at the question 'For Christians, wnat kind of king is Jesus?' In DT, the children will be looking at stable structures and be creating their own minature playground structure.
Our Christian value this half term is Friendship. We will be discussing big questions such as, 'what makes a good friend?' and 'why is friendship important?'.
Our P.E days are Monday and Thursday. Please ensure your child has a full kit on these days. This half term we will be focusing on Rugby and Dance.
