At Radcliffe Hall, Art is a fully inclusive subject where every child is valued and supported to express themselves creatively, regardless of ability or background. We believe that every child is an artist and provide opportunities for all to explore, imagine and communicate their ideas in a safe, supportive environment.
Our curriculum is designed to develop essential artistic skills, techniques, and knowledge. Children learn how to use a wide range of materials, tools, and processes, exploring colour, texture, form, pattern and composition. Through structured teaching and open-ended exploration, we ensure that all learners can access and enjoy the creative process.
Art lessons promote individuality, curiosity, and confidence. Children are encouraged to respond to the world around them and to their own experiences, developing personal expression and visual communication. We value the process as much as the final outcome, fostering resilience and reflective thinking through regular opportunities for self-evaluation and peer feedback.
By nurturing creativity and skill development in an inclusive way, we aim to ensure every child feels successful and inspired in art.
