School Prayer

Dear Lord,

Everyone needs love,
Our family and friends,
All people loving God,
A love that never ends.

Accept us and care for us,
In joyous, joyful ways,
With smiles for all our teachers,
Who we want to amaze.

Compassion makes connections,
We are grateful for your care,
These values and emotions,
Are the love that we all share.

We’re different kinds of people,
Sometimes grumpy, sad and mad,
But community elates us,
And of that we are so glad.

We trust that we are safe in school,
To feel that shared relief,
To not be scared or worried,
And rely on our beliefs.

As hurt is a pin that stays in you,
With tension and with stress,
Forgiveness helps to itch that scratch,
And helps us through the mess.

God is always by our side,
To clean our joyful hearts,
To give us calm and comfort,
Even when we are apart.
