Eco-Advocates

Radcliffe Hall CE/ Methodist Primary School Eco Action Team gives our children the opportunity to share their hopes for an environmentally friendly future. They are the voice for others pupils and are determined to strive for a school that raises awareness and acts upon issues that are currently impacting our environment. Over the coming year, the children will be leading many projects to ensure that Radcliffe Hall is an environmentally friendly place to learn.

Representatives from each KS2 class will be appointed after an application process to help our school achieve the Green Flag award.

The role of the Eco Action Team is to raise awareness amongst pupils within school by helping with the following tasks:

• Being a student voice in regular meetings.
• Helping to plan activities to raise awareness of the impact of climate change
• Surveying the to school to ensure we are environmentally friendly
• Implementing changes across the school so we can make steps towards the Green Flag
• Helping to ensure our achievements are shared with the rest of the school

All our representatives proudly wear their green badges to make them clearly identifiable around school. Pupils will be helped every step of the way with their role and a new Eco Action Team will be appointed each academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the pupils to further their leadership skills and have the opportunity to take steps for a healthier planet.
