I hope you have all had a lovely summer break and made some wonderful memories! All Key Stage 1 staff are excited to welcome the children back for the new school year and look forward to all the exciting thing we have planned this term.
Please remember to check our Facebook and Twitter pages for regular pictures and updates about our learning journey. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask one of the KS1 team or message me on Class Dojo.
Thank you for your continued support.
Our focus genres this half term will be fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Our focus texts will be The Robot and the Blue Bird by David Lucas, Meerkat Mail by Emily Gravett and Twas the Night Before Christmas by Clarke Moore. These offer opportunities for the children to write character descriptions, a non-chronological report and poems.
