EYFS

Nursery:

This half term in Maths, Nursery will be learning all about fewer and more, pattern and shape and numbers to 5. 

Reception:

This half term Reception will be learning all about comparing objects, counting and subtising and also shape and pattern. 

This half term we will be linking our Literacy learning to our topic 'Light and Dark'.

Some of the books we will be looking at are Bonfire Night, Night Monkey Day Monkey by Julia Donaldson and The Nativity. 

We will be focusing on listening and reading stories.

Our topic for this half term is Light and Dark'. The children will be learning all about Bonfire Night, Diwali, noturnal animals with a visit from Cheshire Falconry and later in the year lots of learning linked to Christmas and the Nativity. 

Nursery:

Nursery's phonics learning this half term will be focused on Phase 1 Aspect 2 Instrumental sounds and Aspect 3 Body percussion.

Reception:

This half term Reception will be learning all about Phase 2 graphemes.
